Hallmark Oil Limited, one of Ghana’s leading lubricant suppliers, is set to continue its successful partnership with Chevron Lubricants by introducing the globally-recognized Texaco brand to its customers.
Texaco, one of Chevron Lubricants master brands, is synonymous with advanced technology, and includes a comprehensive range of engine oils for cars, under the Havoline brand as well as heavy duty diesel engine oils for trucks, via the Delo suite of products. With over one hundred years of experience in other regions around the world, Chevron’s automotive and industrial lubricant ranges under the under the Texaco Havoline and Delo brands, include gear oils, greases, hydraulic fluids and gas engine oils, paper machine oils and turbine oils.

Inside an engine
The inside of a modern engine is the scene of intense conflict. It’s a world where air molecules are combined with fuel, crushed, and then ignited, releasing tremendous energy and searing heat. And all this this happens up to 120 times each second.
As if that isn’t enough, car manufacturers are constantly working to get more from less: more performance, more economy, more refinement, all from engines that are becoming ever smaller. Engine development is travelling at a remarkable pace, and so the rate of oil development needs to keep up.

Improving efficiency
Today’s focus on greater economy and lower emissions has led to engines being reduced in size. Extracting more power from less fuel has also led to the increased use of turbocharging in addition to the increasing efficiency of fuel itself.
A key issue is that the smaller engines of today have less space available for oil.
